Favourites Sahid Sporting lifted the Satabdi Cup, outplaying Sports and Cultural Association of Ashok Nagar (SCAAN) by 61 runs in the final of the Rabi Mohanty Memorial Cricket Tournament at Unit-I High School ground in Bhubaneswar today.
The champion side took the top prize of Rs 11,111, while the runner-up team received Rs 7,777. Soumya Das was adjudged both man of the match and the man of the tournament, while Rajesh Baliarsingh and Nilakantha Panigrahi were named best batsman and best bowler of the tournament respectively.
Higher Education Minister Samir Dey distributed the prizes at the closing function.
